Common questions
Our lessons are generally two hours long, though they are flexible for your needs. We aim to fit things around you - so even if you work or study, we'll do all we can to get you on the road fast!
The first thing to decide on is whether you'd like to learn to drive manual or automatic. Beyond that, choosing your perfect course is simply a case of using our Course Recommender tool to find out what best fits your needs. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 07555666989: our experienced team can provide advice on everything from recommended hours, lesson prices to course assessments and requirements.
You can beat the DVSA wait times and pass in as little as 2 months with Driving Lessons MCR depending on the wait time for practical tests in your area. Using our tools and industry contacts, we're able to fast-track your practical test so you can spend more time driving and less time waiting. Want to know the wait times in your area? Give us a call on 07555666989 and our friendly team will tell you all you need to know.
If you've never been behind the wheel before, 20 hours of lessons is unlikely to be sufficient to get you test-ready. The DVSA states that on average, a candidate who passes their test had taken 48 hours of professional lessons, in addition to completing 20 hours of private practice. So, a 20 hour course is only suitable for a learner who has already had at least 20-30 hours behind the wheel. Try our course recommender to understand what the best course is for you.
Thousands of learners have completed their driving lessons in just 2 weeks! If you pick up new skills quickly and can have 4 to 5-hour lessons on consecutive days, you could even complete one of our beginner courses in 2 weeks.
No driving school can guarantee that you'll pass your driving test after a crash course. This is simply down to the fact they can't control how your test will go, so anybody claiming that their intensive driving courses are 'guaranteed pass' are hiding behind a lot of T&Cs. Driving Lessons MCR like to be upfront and don't offer 'guaranteed pass' intensive driving courses; however, our flexible and adaptable instructors and schedules mean that we can promise to offer you the best possible chance at success.
The DVSA states that on average, a candidate who passes their test had taken 48 hours of professional lessons, in addition to completing 20 hours of private practice. Block booking driving lessons as part of an intensive driving course is the fastest route to your licence. It depends on the individual and the amount of previous experience you have had, but we offer everything from 10-hour courses that take place over a few days, to 48-hour courses that can take place over several weeks in the run up to your test. Shorter (refresher) courses are only suitable for learners who have had significant driving experience and who are almost test ready.
